This session on the online capital projects portal is March 4.

The City of Austin invites the public to a “Look and Learn” session on March 4 at City Hall to guide attendees through CIVIC (Capital Improvements Visualization, Information and Communication), a new online portal for the City’s Capital Improvement Program. CIVIC can be accessed at www.austintexas.gov/CIVIC.

CIVIC features an interactive map where the public can get information about a variety of projects affecting such things as roads, water systems or parks. Collectively, these projects are referred to as the Capital Improvement Program.

At the “Look and Learn,” staff will provide a digital tour of the site, demonstrate some of the site’s functionality and provide an overview of the information that can be accessed at CIVIC.

Those who are interested in attending must RSVP to Carol Gibbs at carol.gibbs@austintexas.gov by Friday, Feb. 25. The session is limited to 40 people.

Parking is free at the City Hall parking garage (entrance on Lavaca Street between Cesar Chavez and Second streets). Attendees must bring their parking stub to the session to get it validated.

When: March 4, 2014; 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Where: Austin City Hall, Room 1029 (301 W. Second St.)
